The test is taken (and I'm working on the grading); the gods are gone (but not forgotten).
Writers Week is coming! While we attend WW:
*please remember your basic common sense/common courtesy, just as I anticipate you will;
*meet in the auditorium, which means FIND ME, to turn in your daily WW work (starting with the web quest on Monday)
*enjoy it and think about what each presenter brings
*consider your own writing...maybe submit to the Conspiracy!

ReplyDeleteI have 2 compound sentences
2 sentences with the dependent clause
and 1 compound complex sentence.
But one of my sentences with a dependent clause is also a compound sentence.
Should I underline that whole sentence even though I already have 2 compound sentences? or should I just underline the dependent clause on that one?
Also, can compound sentence contain a semicolon in front of the conjunction instead of a comma?
As long as you have the requirements covered, you're good to go and don't need to underline extra (unles you want to). For compound, EITHER a ; oR , CONJUNCTION.......otherwise compound-complex with ;transition phrase, .
